DARLINGTON — Tony Stewart couldn’t win on Darlington’s old surface. But he’s 1-for-1 on the track’s new one. Stewart led 90 laps and pulled away on the green-white-checkered flag restart to win the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 on Friday night in front of an estimated crowd of 31,000.

DARLINGTON — For the fourth straight year, Darlington’s Sprint Cup race is a sellout. Track officials announced on Friday that tonight’s Dodge Challenger 500 is sold out. The race has been sold out every year since NASCAR moved the race date to Mother’s Day weekend. “This (racing Mother’s Day weekend) has really turned out to be a home run for us,” Darlington Raceway president Chris Browning said. “The fans have come out and have really supported this.”
